One World Saving 100 Million Lives!

It has been said that building resilience in our global society to avoid existential risk is by far and away the most altruistic endeavor one can undertake. One World is building such resilience by brining together youth and educators across the world, creating a global learning community that is also a global platform for good and for peace.

Going Climate Neutral NOW

One Worlder Gavin Cass and his family in Wales made the pledge to take their household climate neutral this year and offered to share their recent journey through the eyes of Eva (age 12) and Harry (age 5).

A Global Clap for Humanity & Our Neighbors

On Wednesday, April 22 we asked One Worlders across the globe to join in on the movement, kicking off the day with hand clapping in a joint celebration for Earth Day, healthcare workers and our common humanity – our essential human link. Together we made this the clap heard round the world.

One Worlders in Acapulco Deliver Stuffed Animals & Smiles!

The Adolescentes Ejemplares de la Sec. 4 One World club from Acapulco, Mexico collected stuffed animals to bring to their local children’s hospital in hope of bringing a smile to the children’s faces!

One World Wyandanch Carols in their Community!

This December, Wyandanch High School’s One World Club paired up with MLK Elementary School’s One World Club to deliver some holiday cheer to their community. The members of the club gathered at their local grocery store to sing holiday carols! The Wyandanch One Worlders brought smiles to the customers faces and some even joined in on the festivities!

One Worlders in Wyandanch, NY Host a Food Drive

Martin Luther King Elementary School in Wyandanch, NY hosted a Thanksgiving food drive to help families in their community. After collecting donations & putting together baskets, they were able to donate 25 baskets of food to families in their community.

One World Educators Sign UN’s Zero Emission Pledge

One World advisors from Wales, China, and Mexico visited New York in April to connect with other One World clubs. On April 25, they visited Park Avenue Elementary School to sign the UN’s zero emission pledge.

One World Spotlight on Helen Boxwill

One World would like to take this opportunity to spotlight one of our most successful partners in One World growth, Ms. Helen Boxwill. Helen has been a supporter and advocate of One World for many years and has successfully opened over 25 clubs in Ethiopia!

Club to Club Service Learning has Big Impact

The Millbrook Primary One World Club in Wales, United Kingdom, made a small craft project that they then sold throughout the school. With the money they raised, they were able to supply 20 children from the Bobicho One World Club in Ethiopia with pens and notebooks so they could continue to stay in school.

One World takes to the water

One World founder, Joe Carvin, and board chairman, Matthew Collier, took out children from the NYPD Explorers, from Harlem, on a boat trip to Captain’s Island in Greenwich, CT. The explorers had a fantastic time, full of lots of laughs, and we look forward to launching a One World Club with them in the future.

One World goes to Harvard Think Tank

One World Advisors and influencers went to Harvard University to participate in a Think Tank on Global Education where they engaged in dialogue considering the significance of global competency and the role it plays in advancing human rights. They discussed barriers to teaching and leading for global competence and developed strategies for helping students.

One World Advisors from Wales visit New York Clubs

Advisors from Wales came to New York to visit One World Clubs in Port Chester, New York City and Long Island. While here they maintained a very active schedule, filling any down time with Skype calls to other clubs such as Mexico and China, and an in-person a meeting with One World’s Ethiopia Clubs organizer.

Candlewood One Worlders Participate in No Place for Hate Campaign

Candlewood One World Club created a video reminding all students about how to be respectful and what to do if they are victims of bullying or witness bullying. Candlewood was awarded Gold Star distinction this year at their annual No Place for Hate Ceremony.
