One World Educators Sign UN’s Zero Emission Pledge

One World advisors from Wales, China, and Mexico visited New York in April to connect with other One World clubs. On April 25, they visited Park Avenue Elementary School to sign the UN’s zero emission pledge.

During the visit, Park Avenue fifth graders had the opportunity to skype with fellow One Worlders in Mexico! Students from both countries shared their experiences completing their Eco Passport Project. After talking about their projects, the students from both countries read aloud the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Although they are thousand miles away, the students share a common goal of wanting to help our planet!

Following the skype call, the United States principals joined the visiting educators from Wales, China, and Mexico to sign the UN’s zero emission pledge to reduce their school’s carbon footprint!
