Dear One World Friends
One World is inviting all who are interested to participate in the global conversation on the future of humanity, One World will be launching later this month.
Your mission if you should decide to accept it, is to collaborate with One Worlders from across the world, to put in place a workable plan that takes humanity from where we are today – 193 disconnected, competing nation-states -to the post-scarcity world of Radical Abundance envisioned by the futurists.
We published our first online book, in April 2025, called The Great Transition.
After extensive research, we concluded that if properly used, dramatic advances in technology have given our species the technological capability to transform our world in a way that brings an end to poverty, hunger, disease, and even the need to work if,if,if we learn how to work together and use these advances for the good of humanity.
Here are two quick examples of what that future world can look like.
The end of disease:
Founder of Google DeepMind, Lord Demis Hassabis, recently won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for the work he and his team conducted on Protein Folding.

After writing one of the first books on AI and how it could transform our world for both good and bad, Oxford Professor Nick Bostrom wrote a new book in 2024 called Deep Utopia: Life and Meaning in a Solved World.
For those willing to listen, the futurists are clearly telling us that we can bring an end to poverty, hunger, disease, and the need to work over the next 20 years. Their vision is clear. And we believe this vision is technologically feasible.
What is NOT CLEAR is how we transition from a world of scarcity where193 competing nation-states armed to the teeth, spending $2.7 trillion a year new weapons of mass destruction… to the post-scarcity, Solved World of universal high income predicted by today’s technologists.
We researched and wrote our first book to help us understand the nature of the opportunity and challenge coming our way, in an effort to dramatically improve our collective “situational awareness”.

In spite of our efforts and the efforts of multiple others, the AI Opportunity is not well understood. There has been far more hype than serious-minded discussion. The quick AI Search we conducted came to a similar conclusion: Less than .1 of 1% Really Understand
However, even for those who understand the profundity of the transition hurdling our way there is no real plan to get us from here 193 competing nation-states to Deep Utopia. Here again, our AI Search empathized with our frustration:

To bridge this gap we are inviting One World friends from around the world to join us in a conversation on the future of humanity and work with us to come up with a plan that gets us from 85 seconds to midnight to Sustainable Super Abundance.
We want to invite you to bring your perspective to what we believe is the single most important challenge in the history of our universe. How do we ensure that humanity transitions to the world of Radical Abundance now available to us, when in fact, according to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, we are living at the most dangerous time in human history?
How? By working with you on an unprecedented effort to collaborate and learn with and from one another. We believe that a collaborative, K-16 effort can result in a practical roadmap as good, if not better, than any roadmap that is out there today. We need to take this conversation beyond San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
To be clear, given the complexity of the task, we are going to need more than one roadmap. Our goal is to provide you with a voice and agency in this all-important conversation, a seat at the table.
