100 School Challenge Launches Globally

On February 4th, 2025, the Westchester Green Students launched the 100 School Challenge at their monthly “First Tuesday” Zoom (WATCH THE VIDEO HERE) as part of their mission to reduce carbon emissions in schools.

The 100 School Challenge invites schools and community groups to SIGN A PLEDGE to take action from March through June.

  1. March: MEASURE their emissions using the UNFCCC calculator.
  2. April: REDUCE their footprint by using the Eco Passport, referring to the list of reduction strategies, or coming up with their own impactful actions!
  3. May: REPORT your success and submit them to One World
  4. June: PRESENT your progress at the World Environment Day Conference on June 5th (Awards will be announced)

Additionally, English-speaking groups are invited to join the bi-weekly ZOOM meeting at this link. Visit this page to see the schedule.

We will have a separate Spanish training for participants.

One World is excited to include global partners from Mexico, Brazil, the UK, and China in this initiative to combat Climate Change. Groups are invited to participate however they are able, and solutions are expected to vary from region to region. We encourage all groups to share their work to @oneworlduv @greencountyusa using the hashtag #OneWorldOneEarth so we can share your successes!

THERE IS NO DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 100 SCHOOL CHALLENGE.

Email westchestergreencountyusa@gmail.com with questions. We look forward to changing the world together!
