Douglas French

Doug is an accomplished marketing executive specializing in information, technology, and educational products and services.  He has held global leadership roles at Standard & Poor’s/McGraw-Hill, Thomson Reuters, and Wolters Kluwer-CCH covering the financial services, legal and regulatory, corporate, academic, government and healthcare market sectors.

Doug started undergraduate school as an Education Major and later switched to Economics and Business Management earning a BA from the State University of New York at Cortland.  He also holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Pace University in NYC.

Taking an approach of using private sector principles to solve public sector problems, Doug ran and was elected Mayor and Chief Public Official of the City of Rye, NY– successfully leading the City’s financial turnaround during the worst recession of our time.

His public and community service extend more than 30 years serving in a range of roles to include Little League coach, Chair of the Recreation Commission for Youth and Senior programs, Cable and Telecommunications Board Member, and other various community-based initiatives and committees.  He and his wife Carrie have raised their 3 children, now adults, through the Rye City School system.
