Your Plan to Reduce Your GHG Emissions in the Short-Term

The goal of this exercise is to get you thinking about how you can begin to reduce your GHG emissions in the short term by becoming resource and energy efficient using recommendations created by the UN entity that runs the annual Conference of Party Process the UNFCCC:

Part #2: Bonus Actions + Cash Prizes

Thank you for your commitment to measuring and reducing your school’s carbon footprint.  We have also identified six additional actions you and your school can take between now and the end of this project period, which is May 30th. 

To incentivize you and your school to be as active as possible between now and the end  of May we are offering cash prizes as follows:

$250 for first prize

$150 for second prize 

$100 for the third prize.  

All you have to do to be eligible for the prize is to participate in as many of the proposed activities as possible and fill out this form detailing your actions. 

Bonus Action #1:  Work with School Administrators to Begin the Development of a Roadmap to 50% Net Zero by 2030 and 100% Net Zero by 2050.

Bonus Action #2:  Participate in One World’s Earth Day Celebration

Bonus Action #3:  Conduct as many Eco Acts as possible between now and May 30th.    Eco Acts Explained

Bonus Action #4: Encourage as many households in your community to measure their GHG emissions using the blue carbon calculator above and put in place a reduction plan.

Bonus Action #5:  Please describe any climate change or environmental actions that you or your school have implemented.
