This past June, Guerreros de la Montaña en Acción published Multilingual Anthology of the Young People of the Red Mountain: Cómo la mitad del mundo/Xó mbi’too numbaa/Ipan tlatlajko tlaltipaktle/Tá iin sava yùvíi. Written and illustrated by students, the anthology features work in Indigenous languages Mè’phàà, Tu´un Savi, Náhuatl, Spanish, and English.
This project grew from an initiative by Escuela Secundaria Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz to translate the UN’s 17 SDGs into the region’s native languages, encouraging students to connect global goals with their cultural heritage, natural environment, and community. It reflects a deep appreciation for the interplay between culture, nature, and sustainability.
