Course Overview The 21st Century Global Competence program delivers on the principles of E-C-E: Educate for global awareness, Connect through good character, and Empower through service learning. Service-learning is the cornerstone of this program.

High School Students will engage in a service learning project that earns them service hours, and develop skills by collaborating with globally minded students from China, Wales, Mexico, Africa, and the US. This program also offers a peer leadership opportunity to promote greater connections between older and younger students from the same school district and with similar groups from across the globe.

The course option offers:

  • 8 one-lectures, one per week
  • 4 thirty minute peer mentorship teaching sessions

Participants This course is designed for students ages 12 and up.
