The 21st Century Global Competence program delivers on the principles of E-C-E: Educate for global awareness, Connect through good character, and Empower through service learning. Service-learning is the cornerstone of this program.

High School Students will engage in a service learning project that earns them service hours, and develop skills by collaborating with globally minded students from China, Wales, Mexico, Africa, and the US. It also includes, for those interested, a class in technology awareness. This program also offers a peer leadership opportunity to promote greater connections between older and younger students from the same school district.

Students will be required to have flexible access to Zoom due to the various time zones we will connect them with.

The course option offers:

  • 8 one-lectures, one per week
  • four 30-minute coaching sessions
