In One World’s Academic Accelerator, we work with “flipped classrooms”. A flipped classroom is an educational approach in which customary lectures and assignments are reversed. Traditional lectures are watched at home before class, and homework is completed in the classroom with the teacher to assist students as needed.
During the tutoring sessions, students then participate in exercises that help them apply the lecture material and build their abilities while connecting with other students in small groups. Inquiry and teamwork are encouraged by the facilitator.
