Joseph (Joe) Kwasniewski is the Chief Executive Officer of the Port Chester Carver Center. Joe joined Carver Center as a Facilities Manager in March 2009 and now serves as the Chief Executive Officer. His responsibilities included diagnosing and rectifying structural issues with the building, and serving as a Project Manager for current and upcoming renovations. During his time at Carver he has held a number of roles in program management, finance, and development. In December of 2013 Joe was named Chief Executive Officer by The Board of Directors. Under Joe’s leadership Carver Center has grown by approximately 95% percent (from an operating budget of $2.2M to $4.3M) and has substantially increased the number of individuals served. He has also completed a comprehensive strategic planning process during the fall and winter of 2015 with the Harvard Business School Community Partners and has attended Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education program in Non Profit Management.
In June 2010, Joe established Management and Organizational Support Services (MOSS) LLC, a full service management and consulting company that owns and operates Cornerstone Children’s Center in Scarsdale, NY. Before his work in Westchester, Joe was a Project Manager and Principal for his family’s construction company, Kwas Construction, LLC of Old Saybrook, Connecticut.. Joe is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and a Spanish Minor. Joe is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Sustainability from the Yale School of Management.
Joe was the recipient of the Business Council of Westchester’s 40 Under 40 Award in June 2014 for demonstrating exemplary leadership in his field.
