Rozlyn Igwe Carvin was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but was raised mostly in Nigeria, West Africa, by her American mother and Nigerian father. She returned to the United States for college and holds a B.A from Southern Connecticut State University as well as an L.L.B. in Law from the University of London. In 2002, Rozlyn qualified as a Barrister and was called to the Bar of England and Wales and is a proud member of Gray’s Inn, one of the four legal guilds in England in which all qualified Barristers must maintain membership.
Rozlyn is an active participant in the Port Chester and Rye Brook community, serving on the Boards of several organizations including the Port Chester – Rye Brook Rotary as a current member, board member and Past President; the League of Women Voters of Port Chester, Rye Brook and Rye; and “Staying Put in Rye and the Environs”, otherwise known as SPRYE. She also sits on the Board of the Pre Day School, operated by All Saints Church in Port Chester, a preschool attended by both of her children.
With her husband Joe, Rozlyn is the co-founder of One World United & Virtuous, a charitable organization dedicated to helping today’s youth become 21st century leaders through global awareness and character education.
Rozlyn and her husband Joe live in Rye Brook with their two young daughters, Keira and Rhianna.
