The 2017 Think Tank on Global Education at Harvard University convened to engage in dialogue considering the significance of global competency and the role it plays in advancing human rights. Participants collaborated with colleagues to apply the K-12 Curriculum: A World Course to various institutional, geographic, and developmental contexts. They discussed barriers to teaching and leading for global competence, developed strategies for helping students take action steps directly related to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and developed a framework for advancing global education.

Participants representing the One World organization at Harvard included One World Advisors from Port Chester, NY and Advisors from Wales, United Kingdom as well as teachers and principals from both Port Chester and Wales, and our founder, who organized this event, Joe Carvin.
