The Lessons

The purpose of the One World Essential Lessons are to ensure all One World club members have some of the same experiences throughout the year that can be shared with the One World community.

Core Values Activity

The Core Values Lesson Plan is an very important part of the One World Program. All One World advisors are asked to conduct this activity with their club. We recommend that it is taught early on in the program year so the students can truly embrace and practice the values they choose as a club.

Group Agreement

Group members will create a group agreement based on the principles of creating a physically emotionally safe environment for all learners.

Exploring Diversity

Consider definitions of diversity and their own unique identity Explore the concept of assumptions based upon appearance

Understanding Community

Help students understand the ideas of community and cosmopolitanism. Explore various meanings of the word community.

Random Acts of Kindness

Encourage learners to perform Random Acts of Kindness in their daily lives. 

Service Learning

Service learning combines learning goals and community service in ways that can enhance both student growth and the common good.

Global Connections

Using today’s technology, kids from all over the world meet face to face in an afternoon and learn about each other’s cultures, similarities and differences


Teach students that small changes in their daily life can have a big impact on the world around us.
