Syria uses cluster bombs and Turkey drops rhetorical bombs on the UN

The New York-based Human Rights Watch is claiming that Syrian forces have once again used cluster bombs in attacks on the opposition over the weekend.

In response to the growing tensions, which are a result of the spreading conflict,  Turkey moved some of its troops into the mountains overlooking Syria, a sign the tensions are not abating.

The ongoing war in Syria and the United Nations failure to act decisively to end it has drawn strong condemnation from Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In what could be seen as an ironic act, the United Nations is seeking support from member nations to provide at least 3,000 troops to monitor the peace once a resolution is achieved.
