The New York Times reported that US officials had reached a breakthrough and agreed to talks with Iran over its nuclear weapons program. The White House, however, quickly denied the report. According to Ha’aretz newspaper, top Israeli officials “had no knowledge of secret talks, with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman telling Army Radio that he knew nothing of the matter and that Israel wasn’t updated.”
