European leaders set to meet in Brussels

Led by Germany and France, the 17-member euro zone will be discussing a series of proposals aimed at restoring market confidence and strengthening the financial stability of the union.

As the Financial Times notes, these discussions also mean that nations will mean many will have to cede some sovereignty and will further expose “fundamental fault-lines that have been papered over for years.”
