Is freedom the key to economic growth?

John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, believes it is. The head of the supermarket best known for catering to the organic needs – and egos – of surbubanites and metropolitan citizens alike may be one of the unlikeliest of proponents of free-market economics.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Mackey points to the US’ declining rank on the Index of Economic Freedom and argues that step one is “to radically cut the size and cost of government.” Read more of Mackey’s plan for economic growth.
