APEC nations cool to US energy plan

The US delegation at the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum has met with resistance – led by China – to its plans to reduce greenhouse gases and spur trade in clean energy and environmentally-friendly products.

Reuters reports that the APEC trade ministers issued a joint statement in which they acknowledged some progress on the trade component, but were examining “how best to take this work forward.”
